During our visits to natural spaces, our activity can have a negative impact on the environment. To avoid this impact and maintain the natural balance, it is enough to follow some simple recommendations:
Park your vehicle only in parking areas designated for this purpose.
If everyone who visits a space takes away a stone, a plant or an animal, think about its effect: a supposedly innocent action can end up destroying a habitat or affecting a species. Enjoy observing animals and plants in their habitat, but without disturbing them.
During your visit to natural spaces you will find places designated for eating and drinking. Make responsible use of these spaces and leave them as you would like to find them on your next visit.
Sunscreen, due to its composition, can leave a thin film of grease on the water surface that prevents proper oxygenation, negatively affecting the flora and fauna that live in it. If you want to bathe or cool off in the water, remove any sunscreen that may still remain on your skin, and respect the regulations or bathing limitations in areas where it is not prohibited.
During your visit, everything you do to make your presence unnoticed will be beneficial for nature. By avoiding strident noises, you will be able to hear and observe wildlife that you would otherwise miss.
Marked trails are there for several reasons: to avoid damaging fauna and flora, to prevent excessive soil erosion, and to avoid disturbances to the inhabitants of neighboring properties. In addition, these marked trails are the best option to enjoy the surroundings and landscape with the simplest and safest route for you.
Follow the regulations. It is totally prohibited to make fires in natural spaces. Use the designated areas for this purpose, only during the dates when it is permitted.
In some areas of natural spaces we find signposted zones that cannot be accessed. This signage is usually to keep protected habitats or threatened species safe. Make your visit only through areas where you are not damaging biodiversity.
In natural spaces you may encounter flocks and livestock grazing. Try not to make annoying noises for them, and keep your pets on a leash to not interfere with their activity. Leave electric gates closed to prevent any animal from getting lost.
Ask for advice and let yourself be guided! Information centers and points are facilities where you will find professionals who will solve your doubts, inform you and guide you to make your visit a unique experience.
We all love to visit and enjoy natural spaces, but try to stay in them only as long as necessary, to allow the wildlife that lives there to rest. As much as possible avoid peak times. Your visit will surely be much more rewarding!
Keep your trash in your backpack, and dispose of it in the corresponding municipal recycling containers.
